meet the ice queen
This week’s guest on the Character Outs podcast is Raya.
Meet my chosen sister….Raya. Who says you can’t find family on social media??
Raya is a survivor, advocate, mama, sister and no contact with her mother. Raya is truly one of the most inspirational people I have met on this journey. Her strength, beauty, intelligence and desire to help YOU hold your strength and power will blow you away. You will be inspired by her authenticity, her sweet countenance and the fire in her soul that is absolutely contagious.
Raya, I am honored to know you and blessed to be walking this journey alongside of you.
Here is a little more about her in her words:

Well Hello, my name is Afton. That is my name. She is in me. But I go by, Raya. I am 33, a mother, a fiancé, a big sister, and the chose one from my ancestors for whatever reason to be the trauma breaker…. well shit. Here we are now! I have been low contact with my bio mom since January 2023. I gave it that year and, I had to let go. Right now, I am a mother, a fiancé, a sister/best friend for life/and truly she is mine. Currently, I am disabled. Fully. That in itself has been very hard to endure. There are many parts of me, many stories, many lives. It took losing my father in the end of 2021 to really open my eyes. Last year was my year to face all the truths from our truly brainwashed reality under a veil. This year. I have found my voice and slowly, I have been using that! I have been on a deep mental health and spiritual journey. I, and finding Raya, while healing Afton… Advocacy is my main goal in life. My son shows me every day, I am doing something right. This is. My story. “You have no idea, what it took, for me to look at you… and feel.. nothing”

Be sure to check out the resources that are dear to Raya’s heart. You are not alone.
RAINN They advocate and have many resources to help you get into contact with the right places in your area for sexual violence, abuse, and incest.
National Domestic Violence Hotline They also help with resources. How to make a plan for safety, exit plans, and much more. I advise anyone to look into all of the local agencies you can. There are many out there, sometimes it just takes going through some hoops.
Raya’s Socials:
If no one has told you lately, it’s not you, never has been, you don’t have to fix it and you are not alone.

Until next post, don’t ever forget how fucking fantastic you are.
